Arthur C. Clarke was born in December 16, 1917 at the coast town of Minehead, England. He was the eldest among four children. His father was a farmer and his mother was a post office telegrapher. Unfortunately his father died when he was thirteen. After attending high school in his Hometown, he moved to London and joined the British Interplanetary Society (BIS), where he started to experiment with astronautic material(Arthur C. Clarke).
When World War II erupted in 1938, Arthur C. Clarke joined The Royal Air Force where later he became the office in charge of the first radar talk down equipment.
After World War II, Arthur C. Clarke obtained his first class honors in physics and mathematics from King’s College, England (The Arthur C. Clarke Foundation).
"In 1954, Clarke wrote to Dr. Harry Wexler, then chief of the Scientific Services Division, U.S. Weather Bureau, about satellite applications for weather forecasting. From these communications, a new branch of meteorology was born, and Dr. Wexler became the driving force in using rockets and satellites for meteorological research and operations"(The Arthur C. Clark Foundation) .
In 1956 Arthur C. Clarke permanently moved to Sri Lanka, where he wrote many books about Indian ocean and sea .in 1962 Arthur C. Clark became paralyzed due to severe attack of Polio In 1998, Arthur C. Clarke was awarded with a knighthood for his dedication to the world of science(Arthur C Clarke).
Arthur C Clarke passed away in march 19,2008( The Arthur C. Clarke foundation).
